Description
Niihau is known as the “forbidden island”. the reason is that it is privately owned by the Robinson family and it has been in their family since 1864 when it was purchased for $10,000. Only residents and family members are permitted there. I captured this image of the island in the distance from my vantage point near Waimea Canyon on the island of Kauai. It was quite a hike to get to this point but the light, the foreground and the island itself called for photo. This will make a beautiful panoramic print in your home or office.
